On Saturday August 22, the CNE hosts the Annual Warriors’ Day Parade (The Warriors’ Day Parade – Home Page).

Cadets are needed starting at 09:30 through to 13:00 to assist with:

Veterans

Parade Marker Bearer (see image below)

Statistics and Judges Runner

Volunteer at the Warriors’ Day Parade on Saturday, August 22 from 09:30 to 13:00!

You would need to arrive at the Gore Lot (see Map below) and find your way to the “CADETS” Registration desk to sign in.

For participating, you will receive:

• $10.00 Honorarium
• Food Vouchers
• Pizza Vouchers
• Volunteer Hours letter

Additionally, you will receive FREE admission to the CNE AFTER the Parade has finished BUT you need to be in civvies to enter the CNE, so don’t forget to bring some with you.

Your immediate family is offered free admission too, but they must arrive with you at 09:30 to line up at the Information Desk to receive their tickets. Again, this is for parents and siblings only. You can make them carry your change of clothes!

At the end of the Parade, you will need to come to the Dispersal Area (CP 852 – see Map) to receive your honorarium along with vouchers and volunteer hours letter. If you were working as one of the runners or other jobs, please meet at the Dispersal Area when you are done your tasking as someone will be waiting for you but don’t wait too long!

Dress is as you see in the parade photo above (pants, boots, belt, head dress, shirt without a tie or jacket). Make sure your uniform is pressed and your boots are shined or you could be turned away. Remember: you are representing the 48th Highlanders RCACC!
