About Us

Welcome to the 48th Highlanders Army Cadet Corps!

The Army Cadet program provides youth between the ages of 12 and 18 with leadership skills, builds confidence, and creates lasting friendships. Army Cadets is free to join and we receive support from the Department of National Defence and the Army Cadet League of Canada as well as benefit from an invaluable connection to the 48th Highlanders of Canada Regiment.

Cadets are led by adults through the Cadet Organization Administration and Training Service, most of whom belong to the Cadet Instructors Cadre Branch. We also have civilian instructors and volunteers who have completed a screening process and we are supported by an active Parent Committee. The 48th Highlanders RCACC gives youth an opportunity to learn about the outdoors, enhances an understanding of Canadian citizenship, develops effective leadership skills, promotes physical fitness, and fosters interest in the Canadian Armed Forces.

If you are between 12 and18 and are looking for new challenges and being part of something bigger than yourself, please come by and check us out. We would be pleased to provide you with a tour, tell you what Army Cadets is all about, and why it’s great to belong to the 48th Highlanders!
